Information about data privacy

We take data protection seriously

Safeguarding your privacy is important to us when we process your personal data. When you visit our website, our web servers always store the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the website from which you are visiting us, which of our pages you are visiting and also the date and duration of your visit. This information is simply needed for technical reasons, so we can display the pages to you and ensure the secure operation of our servers. This data will never be analysed in such a way that you can be identified as an individual.

If you send us data via a contact form, that data is stored on our servers during backup. That data will be used exclusively to handle your enquiry. Your data will, of course, be subject to strict confidentiality. It will never be forwarded to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data about you as an individual. It includes your name, address and e-mail address. You do not have to disclose your personal data to us in order to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address as well as other information to be able to offer you the service you require.

The same applies when you want us to send information materials or when you have questions you want us to answer. In these cases, we will always inform you about this. We also only store data that you have communicated to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you make use of our services, we normally only collect that data needed to be able to offer you our service. We may ask you for further information, but you are under no obligation to provide it. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to be able to offer you our service and pursue our legitimate commercial goals.

Automatically stored data

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser transfers to us automatically. This data is:

  • Date and time of request
  • Name of the file requested
  • Page from which the file was requested
  • Access status (transfer file, file not found, etc.)
  • Browser and operating system used
  • Full IP address of the computer making the request
  • Data volume transferred

This data is never combined with data from other sources. The data is processed pursuant to Art. 6(1) letter f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

For reasons of technical security, and in particular to protect ourselves from attempts to attack our web server, we store this data for a short time. This data does not permit us to draw any conclusions regarding you as an individual. After seven days at most, the data is rendered anonymous as a result of the IP address being truncated at the domain level. This means it is no longer possible to relate it to an individual user. Once rendered anonymous, the data is also used for statistical purposes; it is not reconciled with other databases nor is it forwarded to third parties, even in part.

 Applicant management

When someone makes an application, we collect various types of information. This includes your personal data with contact details as well as a description of your education, training, work experience and skills. You also have the opportunity to provide us with electronically stored documents such as references and letters.

We do not require from you any information that the German General Equal Treatment Act prohibits the use of (race, ethnic origin, gender, religion or world view, disability, age or sexual identity). We also will not ask you to provide us with information regarding illnesses, pregnancy, ethnic origin, political views, philosophical and religious convictions, trade union membership, physical or mental health or sex life. The same applies to content that might violate the rights of third parties (e.g. copyrights, the rights of the press or general rights of third parties).

Personal data is collected, stored, processed and used only for purposes connected with your interest in working for us now or in future, and with the handling of your application. It will never be forwarded to third parties. When you use the online application system, we collect such data as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. That data is used to contact you in relation to your application.

If your application is successful, the data you have provided may be used for administrative purposes in connection with your employment with us.

Your online application is seen and handled only by our relevant partners. All employees entrusted with data processing are under an obligation to maintain the confidentiality of your data. Third parties will never have access to it. All data is processed exclusively in Germany.

If we are unable to offer you employment, we will, as required by law, retain the data you have communicated to us for up to six months in order to answer questions about your application and the reasons why it was rejected.

If you grant us your explicit written consent to retain and store your data for a longer period than that, we may be able to consider you for future jobs offers. Otherwise, your application is erased completely.
